On the 4th and 5th of December, 2019 Directorate of Measures and Precious Metals hosted third and fifth-year students of Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the University of Belgrade. On that occasion, students were acquainted with metrology system in the Republic of Serbia and the role of DMDM as the National Metrology Institute in it.
The academy visit included a tour through DMDM laboratories where national standards of the SI units are kept, apply the most accurate calibration methods to transmit the SI unit values to end-users, and enable connection with international standards. Also, on this occasion, students were introduced to measuring methods, standard and measuring equipment in testing and calibration laboratories.
